(Just to warn, this is ANOTHER post without pictures. Rikk will have to find the cord when he comes home this weekend for a visit.)
That is right, our first born Hunter Thomas Matteson turns 6 years old today! Hunter was born at 7:56am in Meridian, Idaho at St. Luke's Hospital. He was 5 weeks premature and weighed in at 5 lbs. 12 oz. and he was 18 and 1/2 inches long. He was a hairy little guy who looked like an old man! We weren't able to hold him until he was three days old and I will never forget that moment. I just couldn't image how I could love someone so much that I just met.
Hunter is such a blessing to our family. He is such a BIG helper and is always willing to help out. Hunter is very smart and loves to learn. He loves to play on the computer and loves going to school. He is such a good example to our family. He doesn't let a night go by without us saying family prayer, let alone any other prayer. Hunter also shares his birthday with both his Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Murphy which we think is pretty cool.
Just to name a few things he has accomplished over the last year...Hunter has become such a better soccer player. It was amazing to see him play this year and compare it to last year. Last year he didn't score one goal and just kinda ran around with his head cut off! This year he scored the most goals for the season on his team. He can write words and sound out little words. He's such a smart kiddo!
Hunter we love you BIG much and are proud of all the things that you do. We can't wait to see all the things we will achieve and accomplish in the next year!
