Drum Roll Please...

Rikk and I are going to be blessed with a new little spirit joining our family this summer...that's right, we are PREGNANT!!! Rikk has been gone about 8 of the last 10 months so it was bound to happen! We are so happy and excited! The boys (including Rikk) all want to have a boy and as much as I LOVE my boys, I would LOVE to have a little girl! Hunter has actually said that he wants twin boys and Rikk told him to be quiet!

I so far am feeling not to bad. I am VERY tired and VERY nauseous, but have yet to get actually sick, even though Rikk has tried VERY had to make me gag. My sense of smell has become quite strong so that has been pretty bad. I can't stand to open up my fridge...nothing has spoiled, but the smell makes me want to throw up every time I open it.

Rikk has talked with the Base Commander about us extended our stay here and he said that it would be fine, that he just has to fill out the paperwork. He also told Rikk that there is a 50/50 chance that if we extend that we could lose our orders to New Mexico. That is great and bad at the same time. We could get a place that we really want and we could end up some place even worse (for us) than New Mexico. Rikk will talk to his 1st Shirt and get all the information, but I am about 100% sure we will stay.

But that's the new and exciting news for us. More to post later.

Rikk's Back!

Rikk made it home safe and sound on Friday from the NCO Academy at Elmendorf in Anchorage. He graduated on Thursday night , so he left Friday morning. At the graduation he was surprised with winning the "Distinguished Graduate Award" and just couldn't believe it. This award was given to him because of his grades and was also voted on by his classmates and the instructors. Yay Rikk, we are so proud of you!

We are also REALLY, REALLY, REALLY glad to have him home. The boys played with him all day yesterday and today and I even got to take nap...an uninterrupted nap!!! The boys are sad that he has to go to work tomorrow, but know that he won't be gone long. So starting again tomorrow, I will hear all day long, "Is it almost dinner time?" because they know Rikk gets home just before that. We love you Rikk and are glad you are back!

MY BAD!

Last night for dinner I decided that we would have breakfast. The kids LOVE to have breakfast for dinner, so we had scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. I had the eggs all cooked, put the bacon in the microwave (yes, I was to lazy to cook bacon the REAL way) and start to butter the toast. All of a sudden I hear some yelling coming from Hunter...

Hunter: MOM! FIRE! IT'S ON FIRE!

(I hurry and turn around to see the plate of bacon on fire in the microwave.)

Mom: Ah crap! Thanks Hunter for seeing that.

I didn't notice it when I put the bacon in the microwave, but I put it on a paper plate with "glittery" stuff on it and it just lit up in flames. Thanks goodness Hunter saw it and yelled. It was only in there for about 15 seconds, but the plate was ashes.

I then call my mom and we have a good little laugh. While we are talking I decided to make a couple "runny" eggs for myself (that's what we called them growing up) and all of a sudden Walker yells out.

Walker: MOM, THERE'S A FIRE!!!

Mom: (Laughing) Walkie, hush up, there is no fire!

Meanwhile, my mom is laughing hysterically at what he said and so is Walker...he thought he was sooooo funny!

***So remember, don't put anything "glittery" in the microwave!***

this isn't something new

Am I the only mom who goes through the following scenario at night...While I am tucking one kid in bed, one is running down the stairs. While I get that child into bed, another one takes off running...and on and on for about 30-60 minutes. My kids have their own little "tag team" going at night! And I don't get it. It's not like going to bed is something new, WE DO IT EVERY NIGHT!!! We have the same routine every night...snack, teeth, book, potty, water and prayer. Some nights I can laugh about this and some nights I want to scream! I did notice this didn't start until Rikk left for Anchorage, so I am hoping that it will stop when he gets back. But this is always the end result, which I love.

Candy Fun!

I got this idea from my friend Dahlia (Can't remember how to make her name a link, so just click on Jeremy and Dahlia to the right...and if anyone can remind me on how to do make it a link, it would be greatly appreciated). You make a mixture of 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup salt and 1/3 cup flour (although I used a little more flour so it wasn't so runny). You mix this all up and then spread it out into a pie tin. We invited the boys' friend Taylor over to join in the fun. We let them all decorate their dough with all different kinds of candies. I took Kyler and Walker the day before to the store and just let them have a ball in the candy department picking out all kinds of candy in every shape, size and color. They absolutely LOVED doing this and were so sad that their little girlfriend Maddie wasn't there to help eat the candy as they decorated.

Our 3 Stooges

Do I really need to say anything? Just enjoy a good laugh!

Hunter's Birthday!

Just a couple pictures from Hunter opening some presents that he got on his birthday. FYI: Walker cannot keep a secret!!!

Waiting very patiently.

A Ben 10 action figure he wanted.

A Ben 10 sticker book he wanted.

Rikk wanted to send him a candy bouquet, but couldn't get ahold of the company. Walker, Kyler and I got to go and pick out some candy for him.

Hunter just wanted cupcakes since Rikk wasn't here to make his cake (we are having his party and cake when Rikk gets back from Anchorage).

Moving Pics

Just a couple pics of when we were moving. I think they are pics of what the kids enjoyed the most about moving.
Kyler has become daredevil #2. He climbed up there all on his own.

Walker thought camping out in the living room was cool!

Walker and Kyler enjoying playing on the trailer.

MY BED!

When we were moving, we had to take apart Kyler's crib to get it out of the room. Since Rikk HATES putting the crib together AND taking it apart, we decided to just keep it down and that Kyler could just sleep on a mattress on the floor...I know, I know, how white trash are we!!! Kyler's face when he saw what Rikk was doing to his bed.

Kyler begging for his bed back!

Throwing a little bit of a tantrum, maybe...I wonder who he gets that from!

Realizing that it's going to happen anyway, so he may as well help out.

I LOVE this still unsure look of what's going on and what he's doing.

First Day of School

Here are the pictures of the boys' first day of school. Hunter woke up that morning and said, "I am going to Kindergarten!" Walker said, "I am going to Mommy School!" Kyler said, "I'm going hunting!" Rikk said, "There's no doubt in my mind that Kyler is mine!"

Hunter was so cute, excited and couldn't wait to get to kindergarten.

Walker...I think his face says it all about going to "Mommy School!"

Kyler was ready to go to.

Rikk was more sad about Hunter going to school than I was. He took a picture of about every step Hunter took from the truck to his little seat in his classroom!

Hunter and Mrs. Wurster the teacher aide.

Hunter and his teacher Mrs. Gillitzer.

I LOVE this picture. He was getting a little nervous at this point because we were getting ready to go.

51% Rikk

Yesterday morning Hunter and Walker were sitting on our bed while Hunter was getting dressed for school. This is their conversation...

Hunter: "Walker, can you put my shirt on?"

Walker: "No."

Hunter: "Walker, can you put my pants on?"

Walker: "No."

Hunter: "Walker, can you punch yourself in the head?"

Walker: "YES!!!" as he repeatedly punches himself in the head and they both are laughing hysterically!

All I can say is that Rikk has always said they were 51% him...I just wish they would show my 49% more!!!

FEED ME!!!

The other day my dad stopped by to say hi to me and the boys. Walker was showing with some tricks on the stairs and Kyler was showing Papa his mini banana muffin. Kyler decided he wanted to play with Walker.

Mom: "Kyler why don't you give me your muffin to hold so that it doesn't get everywhere."

Kyler: Doesn't say a word or even look at me, but shoves the whole muffin in his mouth and heads up the stairs without skipping a beat.

Mom: "Did you just shove that whole thing in your mouth? I said I was going to HOLD it, not EAT it!

Papa: (laughing) "You didn't think he was actually going to give that to you did you?!!"

What can I say, the kid LOVES his food! If he has food in his hands, he won't get near anyone (unless they have food!) for fear that they will eat it.
